As a professional urban planner serving in the private, city, county and regional governmental sectors for over 30 years, Michelle focused on site planning, special land uses, overlay zoning, wetlands protection and preservation, native landscaping, and stormwater quality management.
She has served as a municipal planning commissioner, as a planner for the Town of West Hartford, CT and, in her position prior to retirement, as Senior Environmental Planner for Washtenaw County in Ann Arbor, MI. Michelle currently serves on the Town of Bloomfield Economic Development Commission. She holds a BA from the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, CT.
Michelle’s interest in the Wintonbury Land Trust is rooted in the importance of preserving open space in Bloomfield and the positive contribution that open space provides for water quality management.
