Christopher believes people help protect the lands and waters they understand and appreciate through first-hand experiences, as he did growing up in New York’s Adirondack Mountains. He has provided leadership for conservation education and outreach initiatives including a science education reform partnership, local nature center, and now as an independent consultant.
When he and his husband aren’t hiking, kayaking, and gardening, he helps coordinate the Land Trust’s communications and outreach. He also volunteers with the Friends of Auerfarm State Park Scenic Reserve and chairs the Connecticut Outdoor Recreation Alliance.
