You Can Make a Difference, Today and for Generations to Come

Some additional ways people like to contribute are:

• Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs): Individuals 70½ years old or older can donate to one or more charities directly from a taxable IRA in lieu of the required minimum distribution.
• Gifts of Stock: Donating gifts of stock is easy to do and a popular way of supporting local conservation efforts. The value of the securities is deductible as a charitable gift for tax purposes, and capital gains tax may be avoided.
• Donor Advised Funds: A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is like a bank account for charitable giving. You deposit money into this account, which you can then allocate to support the charities you care about. To support TRLC in this way, contact your financial institution to recommend a grant be made to TRLC from your fund.
• Matching Gifts: Please check with your employer to see if they match gifts so you can leverage your donation to Traprock Ridge Land Conservancy. It’s a great way to have a significant impact right away.
• Gifts of Land/Property: Donations of land/property can be a great way to make a difference and avoid capital gains tax.
• Make a Gift in Your Will: A donation in your will or estate plan is one of the simplest ways to protect the land, water, and wildlife you care about — forever. Even a small percentage of your estate can have a lasting impact for generations to come.
